Byzantine Ark's first release is an exemplary program of hymns of the Nativity from the Orthodox Christian Church. A solo chanter chants the melody while additional chanter(s) chant the eison (i.e. drone/bass) that quietly harmonizes the melody into a sifting tension of watchfulness, compunction, and inspiration for rhe listener. Such are the qualities of this ancient tradition of sacred music. 
The recording of this music was performed at the studio of Nepsis Music, an independant record label, located in North Carolina, USA.
